Oakwood Elementary staff welcomes community volunteers. If you have time in your busy schedule to help in your child’s/grandchild’s/friend’s classroom, please contact the teacher directly or send a message through the office; and we will have the teacher call you to work out a schedule. We appreciate our volunteers and want to use them to the fullest potential – reading with students, working on math facts, correcting homework, etc. As teachers plan their lessons with their classroom volunteers in mind, we do ask that if you commit to helping a certain day/time please try to honor that commitment or call ahead to let us know if it is not possible to fulfill the obligation.
