School Profile

Paulding Exempted Village Schools has two elementary schools that feed into Paulding Middle School and further into Paulding High School.  Oakwood Elementary is located in Oakwood, Ohio, about fifteen miles east of the Paulding campus and provides Pre-school though 6th grade education for students residing in the eastern portion of the PEVS district. 

Our school offers six half-day preschool classes; and we have two classrooms at each grade level, kindergarten through sixth grade, with a current average of twenty students per teacher.  Our kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade classrooms are self-contained;   the 3rd through 6th grade are departmentalized.  Art, Music, and Physical Education are part of the weekly schedule.  All teachers at Oakwood Elementary meet the “Highly Qualified” requirements set forth by the State of Ohio.
Oakwood Elementary staff is committed to providing an appropriate high-quality education to each student and works diligently to discover each child’s learning style and to design lessons that meet our students’ learning needs.
