Oakwood is located in Paulding County in the northwest corner of the state of Ohio.  The town of Oakwood is a small village located in Brown Township, with a population of 675 residents. The Oakwood Elementary attendance area also includes Auglaize, Washington, Emerald, and Jackson Townships.  This area is a highly rural and geographically isolated community

Oakwood Elementary School is one of two elementary schools in the Paulding Exempted Village School District.  Our School serves 350 students in grades Preschool through Six.  Our mascot is the panther and the school colors are maroon and white.

48 dedicated employees serve the needs of the students at Oakwood Elementary School.  This number includes 7 bus drivers, 4 cafeteria workers, 3 custodians, 5 teacher aides, one secretary, 27 teachers and 1 principal.
