Michael Connor Michael Connor, a 1960 graduate, was a member of the 1960 state championship track team, finishing second in the 100 yd. dash, second in the 220 yd. dash, and first on the 880 relay team. He was also a state qualifier on the 880 relay teams in 1957, 1958, and 1959. Connor also played halfback on the 1956 undefeated football team and was captain his junior and senior years, being selected to first team honors each year. He also played on the 1960 baseball team, which was the first Paulding team to reach the district finals. Connor attended Ohio Wesleyan University, but a knee injury forced him out of athletics his freshman year. He continued his education at Cal Western Reserve, where he earned his B.A.· in psychology. He earned an M. A. in Educational Psychology at CSU, Long Beach, and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Hawaii. Connor is currently a Founding Father and Professor of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Cal State University. He is also a practicing Clinical Psychologist, specializing in parenting issues and sports psychology.
