Harvey Hyman
Harvey E. Hyman, a 1935 graduate at Paulding High School, earned three letters in football and three in basketball.
Upon graduation from high school he attended Ohio University on an athletic scholarship, but because OU did not have a football program he later transferred to Ohio Northern University where he lettered in football and earned a law degree in 1940.
He has practiced law for 59 years, serving as Paulding County prosecuting attorney, county common pleas judge, and probate and juvenile judge for 12 years.
He is presently working with his son, David, who is an attorney in Paulding.
Recalling football at Paulding, Harvey said that he remembers playing at Lima Shawnee during the depression under the lights, and playing two games with a broken arm during his senior year.
He has been married to Juanita Marjorie Jacobs Hyman for 59 years and they have four children, 11 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
